My name is Laurentz Gilmore, I go by she/her/hers pronouns, and I am half Chilean and half Irish, so I grew up in a bilingual household. 

 

I am proud to say that I am a Video Production and Communications professional who partners with visual storytellers to bring their messages to life. I attended the University of South Florida and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Creative Writing. After spending over 10 years studying and working in video production and marketing departments, I know exactly what it takes to be successful in this field — and it’s not just about what you learn in a textbook. It’s about the opportunities you pursue and how well you connect with the individuals you meet along the way.

I have landed various jobs in digital media and broadcast outlets around the state of Florida and Colorado, including the University of South Florida, Denver Public Schools, and Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network. In addition to my extensive media and communications experience, I am a 5 time telly award winning video editor.

In 2019, I loaded up my little Mazda with as much personal belongings as I could manage and moved from Florida to Colorado. One thing hasn't changes though — I am still looking for stories to tell.

There's only a few things in life that I am absolutely sure of. I know that I was meant for something big. And I know that my biggest fear – the thing that keeps me staring at the ceiling all night when all I want to do is sleep – is not fulfilling my own potential. I intend to spend every waking minute to ensure that doesn't happen.
